Even More Information
About the Librarian
Ms. Riggs taught junior and senior high from 1993-1996 then continued to teach solely junior high until 2009. After receiving her Masters degree in Library Science, she was a school librarian in a Dallas ISD elementary school before coming to Hurst Hills Elementary in 2015. She loves to read and enjoys running. Ms. Riggs lost a food competition when she was younger and is hoping to train for a pizza competition in the near future. Ms. Riggs's favorite teachers were Miss Fields, Mr. Geghan, Mr. Rogers (yes, she had a teacher named Mr. Rogers), and her dad who taught 12th grade English. But it was Connie Barnes the librarian at the East Branch Library in Fort Worth who inspired her to become a school librarian. |
